Job Description
As a Delivery Driver, you will play a key role in the logistics operations by ensuring timely deliveries to customers, maintaining vehicle standards, and representing the company professionally during interactions. This role involves driving to scheduled locations, following safety and traffic rules, managing documentation, and collaborating with warehouse staff to ensure the smooth handling and transportation of goods.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Deliver goods to customers on time and according to the delivery schedule
Provide courteous and professional customer service during deliveries
Perform routine vehicle checks and report any issues
Complete delivery documentation accurately, including invoices and delivery notes
Follow all road safety and traffic regulations
Load and unload delivery items with care and efficiency
Collaborate with the stock control team and warehouse personnel to meet daily operational targets
Use GPS and navigation tools to plan efficient delivery routes
Adapt to changing delivery demands and weather conditions

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Valid PDP license
Experience:
At least 2 years of proven delivery driving experience
Key Competencies and Skills:
Strong time management and organizational skills
Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills
Ability to lift heavy packages and work long hours
Familiarity with route planning using GPS systems
Good problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changes
High reliability, punctuality, and attention to safety procedures
