Job Description
The Delivery Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that deliveries are completed on time and in full. This includes assisting with loading and offloading of products, managing proof of delivery (POD) documentation, supporting vehicle safety operations, reporting any incidents or damages, and helping maintain cleanliness and order. The assistant will also follow standard operating procedures and contribute to efficient logistics operations while working closely with drivers to meet delivery objectives.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure full and timely delivery of products
Monitor and control stock during transportation
Follow safe working practices and assist in housekeeping
Assist the driver in maneuvering, loading, and offloading
Secure loads for safe transit
Report any accidents, incidents, or damages
Assist in controlling delivery paperwork (e.g., POD)
Follow standard operating procedures

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Matric (Senior Certificate) is essential
Added Advantage:
Code 10 or higher valid driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to follow safety procedures and standard operating protocols
Reliable and punctual
Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting
