Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Redeem’s mission is to protect widows and orphans from violent abuse and exploitation by:
Awakening the world to the need to defend the orphan and the widow in the twenty-first century;
Assembling the resources needed to protect the world’s most vulnerable widows and orphans;
Assisting law enforcement in real cases that restore victims and restrain their abusers; and
Amplifying law enforcement protection through community engagement and capacity building.
We are currently implementing a program in Uganda to protect widows and orphans from the devastation of
predatory eviction with plans to expand our defense of the vulnerable into other countries in the future.
As a data Officer for Redeem, you will support the respective project offices to collect and manage the data necessary
to measure the impact of Redeem intervention on the lives of widows and orphans

Program Evaluation
Collaborating with Redeem’s M&E and organizational leadership in the development of Redeem's impact
evaluation strategy and implementation model;
Conducting surveys and/or investigations to determine the prevalence of predatory eviction victimization
among identified widows and orphans;
Collecting relevant data about survey and/or investigation subjects, including but not limited to
demographics, marital status, land ownership and incidents of abuse;
Ensuring that all data collected meets the quality standards and is provided in a timely manner to inform
program improvement and management decision making;
Entering collected data into appropriate databases for analysis;
Connecting survey and/or investigation subjects who meet Redeem's casework intake criteria with
Redeem's Investigators for potential assistance; and
Supporting data collection efforts in other Redeem project areas as needed.
Performance Monitoring
Supporting and collaborating with the Casework Administrator in the collection of team performance data;
Supporting the casework teams in basic data collection and management tasks;.
Monitoring the quality of the performance data collected by the casework teams;
Providing regular updates to the M&E Leadership and the Team lead on the team’s performance data
Ensuring functionality of the M&E system; and
Compiling the quarterly Case work office reports/ KPIs
Respond to all data requests at the case work office level
Miscellaneous
Communicating with donors, supporters, media and other outside parties about Redeem’s work;
Contributing to the review and design of organizational systems, guidelines and policies;
Participating in Redeem’s professional development and spiritual formation activities;
Supporting other teams within Redeem in the achievement of their objectives;
Performing clerical duties (photocopying, filing, posting, errands, etc.) as needed, and
Completing other duties as assigned.

evaluation and paralegal support to Redeem’s efforts in Uganda. Specific attributes include:
Experience
Required: A degree in statistics, population studies, economics, development studies or any other relevant
discipline1
Required: At least three years of professional experience in M&E, research and data management.
Required: Experience with conducting surveys and data collection;
Preferred: Experience in qualitative research
Preferred: Experience in using electronic data collection applications( ODK, Kobo collect etc
Preferred: Experience using cloud-based data collection tools, platforms and systems;
Preferred: Experience working in start-up, international, matrixed and/or faith-based organizations;
Skills
Required: Fluency in English, Runyoro, and Runyakitara with excellent written and oral communication in all
Required: Data management with impeccable attention to accuracy and detail;
Required: Computer literacy with strong capacity in word processing, email, and other systems;
Preferred: Understanding of Google business suite and digital project management tools.
