The Hospital was founded on 5th Sept 1928 by a Christian Missionary AR Cook as a maternity center under Namirember Diocese. It was later handed over to Mukono Diocese and has since been upgraded to a hospital offering in patients and outpatients services.
MCOU Hospital (Founded by Missionaries in 1928) is one of the oldest Hospitals in Uganda. Its private not for Profit (PNFP) and categrorised as a General Hospital and operationally it is a referral Hospital. The main objects (intent) of the Hospital is to fulfull the two fold command to preach and to heal the sick through proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and advancement of Medical work and Education
The Hospital is owned by the Board of Trustees and has the Bishop of Mukono Diocese of the Church of Uganda as its Patron. It has a Board of Governors composed of non executive Governors/Directirs and one Executive Director, the Hospital Director.

Systematize and ensure safe data storage (hard copy & electronic data) on central project databases on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Duties:
Implementing data collection tools, processes and reporting.
Lead to quarterly and annual report compilation that enables information usage for program management decision making.
Systematize and ensure safe data storage (hard copy & electronic data) on central project databases on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Conduct data validation processes and work closely with technical teams to identify problematic areas and make appropriate recommendations for continuous improvement.
Monitor and track progress against targets and baselines and ensuring compliance with the requirements of the reporting systems.
Prepare quantitative data and write narrative reports as required.
Ensure quantitative reporting of core, custom indicators and cross cutting indicators periodically as required in KPP. OVC and DREAMS.
Support KPP. OVC and DREAMS case management and beneficiary assessments to track progress towards graduation.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Programme Officer.

Qualifications, skills and experience
The ideal candidate for the CSO Project Data officer must hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Medical Records Certificate, Health Informatics and any other related qualifications.
Working proficiency in the use of various statistical packages especially SPSS. STATA, CSPRO, Epi info.
Knowledge of Microsoft access, Microsoft excel and Arc view is desirable.
A minimum of one year of relevant working experience as a Data officer in a reputable organization.
Previous working experience in Health Management information systems would be of an added advantage.
Proven ability to manage large data bases and ability to supervise and lead a team.
Demonstrated advanced ability to use various computer statistical software packages.
Demonstrated good data analytical skills.
Demonstrated good writing skills such as ability to write good reports and manuscripts.
Proven ability to work well with other professionals.
