Biyinzika was founded in 1990 as a poultry breeder farm and has grown steadily over the years to establish itself as one of the best- known brands in the Ugandan poultry industry.

We are now the leading supplier of day-old chicks and poultry feeds in the country.

We have recently started producing other livestock feeds such as dairy and pig feeds.

A commercial broiler farm was set up in 2016 which is now in full production.

Job Description

Biyinzika Poultry International Limited (BPIL) is the leading integrated poultry company and a recognised household brand within Uganda. BPIL produces and distributes quality day-old chicks and HACCP certified animal feed through over 40 branches within Uganda and the East African region. BPIL also produces chicken meat products under the Pearl Chicken Brand.
BPIL is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the position below,

Duties and Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and monitor a credit control system in collaboration with the commercial and finance department.

  • Conduct regular analysis of the credit-control system and propose changes as needed to reduce bad debt.

  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payment, and other irregularities.

  • Follow up on overdue collections, implement company collection procedures as necessary and improve debt collection proesses.

  • Negotiate payment plans with consumers and set credit terms and conditions accordingly.

  • Evaluate new credit requests, against credit ratings and credit limits and advise on whether to advance credit to customers.

  • Proactively manage debt and take collections from customers.

  • Ensure that customer accounts are always reconciled, and statements availed to the customer's monthly.

  • Maintain timely and accurate financial records.

  • Ensure compliance to the credit policy by all parties.

Qualifications and Competencies

Education:

  • Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting/Finance)

  • Professional: ACCA/CPA Level 3 and/or a relevant qualification


Experience:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years' experience in related functions FMCG experience is an added advantage


KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES:

  • High level of integrity with strong analytical and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and within a big dynamic team.

  • Ability to manage complex workloads and meet tight deadlines.
