The Credit Assistants- Agriculture Lending will be tasked with growing sustainably a quality agribusiness portfolio alongside liabilities mobilization.
Role of the Job:
The Credit Assistants- Agriculture Lending will be tasked with growing sustainably a quality agribusiness portfolio alongside liabilities mobilization.
Mobilization and sensitization of customers about banks’ credit products and other services.
Conducting loan appraisals exercise in line to the established Bank policies procedures
Presenting loan project proposals to the loan committee for making decision and give feedback to applicant.
Disbursing the approved loans according to the terms and conditions spelt out in the lending policies and procedures.
Monitoring and evaluation of loan performance in line with disbursement terms and conditions.
Portfolio quality must be maintained for PAR 1 at 8% and below ,30days at 5 % and NPA at below 3%
Initiation of recovery actions for loans in default in line with loan policy, guideline and procedures.
Train other bank staff (credit officers), effective principles of lending especially agricbased enterprises
Attend to other duties assigned in lines to policies and procedures

Minimum educational and technical competence requirements
A Diploma / degree in any agriculture related discipline.
Must not have spent not more than 5 years since completing school.
Must have critical thinking, analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate clearly in a professional manner
Ability to build functioning working relationship with other (Team Player).
Ability to demonstrate positive image and up hold FTB values.
Must be a person of good integrity record.
Must demonstrate flexibility /willingness to learn
