Reach Out Mbuya Community Health Initiative formerly known as Reach Out Mbuya Parish HIV/AIDS Initiative (ROM) is a community-based non-governmental organization working with the urban and rural poor communities currently in 6 districts and ready to expand further. ROM provides a unique model of care to People Living with HIV and where necessary their families; taking care of the medical, social, emotional, and economical aspects of their lives to foster dignified living.
The program initiated in May 2001 at Our Lady of Africa Mbuya Catholic Parish to address the AIDS scourge in the slum communities of the Parish has since experienced rapid growth scaling up further beyond the parish jurisdiction. Starting with 14 HIV+ clients in 2001, currently ≥7000 are served annually.

CQI Specialist job at at Reach Out Mbuya Community Health Initiative (ROM)
Job Description
He/She will provide guidance to the assigned site mentorship team to apply improvement science methods for improving the quality of comprehensive HIV services.
The CQI Specialist will work with technical teams to coach sites in development of CQI strategies to ensure desired improvement changes.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities and duties
Train and mentor site multi-disciplinary teams to adopt CQI principles in delivery of comprehensive HIV services
Support Technical Teams to develop functional site CQI Teams in all designated sites
Guide sites and mentorship teams to develop a Performance Dashboard.
Reviews and use patient level data/information to inform key clinical and management decisions
Support benchmarking of best practices between different sites
Act as a content expert and supports the mentorship team in development of remediation interventions following SIMS and other site performance assessment exercises
Determine needs assessment for quality improvement and oversee its implementation
Support adoption, spread, and implementation of CQI Guidelines developed at the national level within designated facilities to ensure consistency in clinical standards in order to minimize clinical care variations

Qualifications and Competencies
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Masters in Social Sciences, Epidemiology, Public Health or MBA with specialization in Healthcare Management preferred
Prior experience in HIV and AIDS clinical programming, experience as a trainer added advantage
Familiarity with quality improvement activities/ initiatives in health care or other service or consulting sector
At least 3 years’ experience in management consulting or coaching for process improvement
Statistical software experience with verifiable experience in data and information use
