Job Description

As a Country Director, you will take on a pivotal leadership role overseeing the implementation of the company’s strategy within Kenya. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to expand business operations, ensure the execution of high-level initiatives, and represent the organization in business, governmental, and public affairs. The role demands excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and an ability to manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams across functions.

You will also be a key decision-maker in local operations, talent acquisition, client engagement, and performance optimization, supporting the growth and development of core business areas including executive leadership, operations, supply chain, finance, HR, and digital transformation.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage country operations, aligning with the global mission and objectives.

  • Represent the organization in strategic forums, partnerships, and with local authorities.

  • Oversee business development, client engagement, and project execution.

  • Ensure operational excellence across functions such as Finance, HR, and Logistics.

  • Guide recruitment and development of local talent and leadership teams.

  • Drive innovation, change management, and organizational culture initiatives.

  • Monitor performance and report regularly to regional and global leadership teams.

  • Maintain compliance with national laws, industry standards, and company policies.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field is required.

  • A Master's degree (e.g., MBA) is an added advantage.


Experience:

  • Extensive senior-level management experience, preferably in emerging markets.

  • Proven track record in organizational leadership, business development, or operations.

  • Experience working across sectors such as Finance, HR, Supply Chain, or Tech.
