S4D seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join the team as a Country Coordinator with business development responsibilities. The ideal candidate will oversee the growth of the S4D footprint in Uganda and will play a crucial role in expanding and managing the company's operations. This role is pivotal in bridging the company’s global strategies with local execution, ensuring that business activities are both locally relevant and strategically aligned with the company’s broader goals. This position requires a deep understanding of the role of technology in organizational and community transformation and a combination of strategic analysis, marketing expertise, and exceptional interpersonal skills to achieve business growth and objectives.
Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
Conduct comprehensive research to understand the country's economic, political, and market conditions.
Develop strategies tailored to local needs while aligning with the company’s global objectives.
Identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion within the country.
Business Development:
Forge and maintain strong relationships with local business partners, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
Negotiate and secure partnerships and deals to drive business growth.
Attend industry events and conferences to represent the company and network with potential clients and partners.
Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business goals, identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs.
Research emerging trends and recommend new company offerings to satisfy customers’ needs.
Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s business needs.
Engage with prospects via cold-calling, networking, and social media platforms to generate new business leads.
Develop proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships.
Manage existing client relationships to maximize value for both the client and the organization.
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
Drive the negotiation and closure of business deals that promote sustained revenue.
Analyze current and past financial data, such as sales reports, and provide strategies to cut costs and increase revenue.
Project Coordination and Management:
Coordinate cross-functional teams across different regions or departments to ensure project deliverables align with local market requirements and company goals.
Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to execute projects effectively.
Address and resolve any issues that arise during project implementation.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure all business practices comply with local laws and regulations as well as corporate policies.
Prepare reports on business activities, performance, risks, and outcomes for S4D senior management.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to provide actionable insights to the leadership team.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and develop local teams, ensuring they are motivated, trained, and aligned with the company’s culture and objectives.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
Promote diversity and inclusion within the workplace.

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, International Business, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in business development, project management, or a similar role in a multinational environment.
Understanding of the impact and role of technology and AI in optimizing public and private sector entities.
Keen desire and interest in leveraging technology to transform organizations, communities, and individuals.
Skills:
Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in the local language and English.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Proven track record of successful business development efforts, including new customer acquisition, and meeting or exceeding targets.

Willingness to travel extensively, both nationally and internationally.
