Job Description
The Contract Accountant will be responsible for managing employee relations, team productivity, and ensuring effective operational processes with appropriate internal controls. The role includes supervision of cost control, transaction processing, and active participation in determining and implementing operational, transactional, cost, and internal control processes. The accountant will manage the internal and external audit process, coordinate risk management, and drive improvements based on audit feedback. They will also provide financial direction and advice, build investment models for business growth, and ensure new projects align with approved guidelines.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Manage employee relations and team productivity within the finance department.
Ensure effective operational processes and safeguard appropriate internal controls.
Supervise cost control and transaction processing to ensure value for money.
Participate in the development and implementation of operational, transactional, and internal control processes.
Manage the internal and external audit process, including strategy coordination, report comments, and follow-up action plans.
Establish feedback/compliance testing structures as needed.
Drive improvements based on audit feedback and other mechanisms.
Coordinate risk management processes.
Advise the Operations Manager on maximizing financial performance and enhancement.
Build investment models and commercial papers for business growth.
Participate in the Local PRB process.
Monitor new projects to ensure contracts align with approved business case analysis (BCA) and group guidelines.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Experience:
7-10 years in a management finance position with increasing responsibilities, preferably in a multinational company.
Qualifications:
Professional Accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
Business degree (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
Skills and Competencies:
Proven experience in managing a finance team.
Strong knowledge of financial strategies, audits, cost controls, and risk management.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
