The Computer Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing TRA SACCOS’s databases and software systems. This role involves the design, development, and implementation of customized applications and ensuring data security, availability, and scalability. The position requires collaboration with different departments to enhance IT systems aligned with operational needs.

How to Apply
Design, develop, and maintain databases and software applications
Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data backup and recovery procedures
Write code for new applications or modify existing software to meet organizational needs
Develop reports and data analytics tools to support business decisions
Ensure data security and integrity across all systems
Conduct routine maintenance and updates of systems and databases
Collaborate with users and departments to gather requirements for new software features

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience in database management and software programming
Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and programming languages such as PHP, Python, Java, or C#
Competencies:
Proficiency in database design, optimization, and security
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of system development life cycle (SDLC)
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Familiarity with IT security standards and data protection regulations
