Job Description
The Compliance Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in delivering administrative support within the Compliance Directorate. This includes managing verification processes, reporting on candidate selection progress, liaising with internal structures, managing mailboxes and helpdesk queries, and maintaining organized records. The successful candidate will ensure seamless operations and accurate data handling, contributing to the DA’s goal of efficient and fair public representative selection and performance monitoring.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Execute verification processes in candidate selection data
Provide accurate and timely candidate selection progress reports
Liaise with internal structures regarding candidate selection processes
Manage directorate mailboxes and respond to helpdesk requests
Maintain records of meetings and documentation
Deliver administrative support to the Compliance Directorate
Ensure data integrity and confidentiality across all administrative functions
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Requirements:
National Senior Certificate or equivalent
At least 3 years’ experience in an administrative role
High proficiency in administrative systems and processes
Fluency in English (an additional official language is advantageous)
Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong time management and organizational abilities
Detail-oriented with strong administrative skills
Ability to manage competing tasks and priorities
Proactive, reliable, and results-driven
Sound judgment and ability to work under pressure
Knowledge and Commitment:
Understanding of local, provincial, and national political and legislative frameworks
Strong commitment to the values, principles, and programmes of the Democratic Alliance
Willingness to work long and irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays when needed
