Job Description

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Africa, and matrixed to the Director of Marketing, the Communications Manager will work closely with both regional and global marketing teams. The role is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies, managing storytelling initiatives, supporting regional teams with marketing resources, and maintaining brand consistency. The position requires strong writing and communication skills, creativity, and project management abilities to elevate the visibility and effectiveness of Cure Blindness Project’s operations within the Africa region.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in marketing and communications, preferably in the Africa region and within non-profits or global organizations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to create content for diverse platforms

  • Self-starter with strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Team player who values diversity and collaboration

  • Flexible and able to work off-hours when needed

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% (domestically and internationally)

  • Proficient in Google Workspace, MS Office, Asana, and Apple systems

  • Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Physical capacity to work on a computer for extended periods and lift up to 15 pounds
