A Temporary employee handling claims, particularly those arising out of motor claims, eg windscreen damage and other classes of insurance.
In liaison with the Head of Claims, carry out inspections and collect information relevant to the claims.
Prepare the necessary reports on inspected claims.
Receive, register and process all claims.
Handle claims, particularly those arising out of motor claims, eg windscreen damage and other classes of insurance.
Verify quotations for motor vehicle repairs and confirm prices for spare parts.
Ensure filing and documentation is maintained in an efficient manner.
Assess liability on the policies including verification of premiums.
Identify claims that do not qualify for settlement and arrange for repudiation Claims in consultation with the Head of Claims.
Ensure that claims are lodged with reinsurers on all files handled.
Prepare discharge vouchers for approval before payments are made.
Attend to client queries in liaison with the Head of Claims.
To ensure that all salvages are collected in time and ensure that the salvage register is kept up to date.
Preparing Monthly Claims Reports in liaison with the Head of Claims.
Liaison with other departments which a key objective of providing input to underwriters on review of potential and existing insured’s claims experience and with the finance department for efficient processing of clients payments to enhance more business.

Insurance Knowledge: A basic understanding of insurance principles, policies, and practices. This could include knowledge of different types of insurance coverage, claims processes, risk assessment, and underwriting principles.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for evaluating claims, assessing risk factors, and making informed decisions. Candidates should be able to analyze data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for interacting with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. This includes the ability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly and concisely.
Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail is necessary for reviewing insurance policies, processing claims, and ensuring accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
Customer Service Orientation: A customer-centric mindset and the ability to provide exceptional service to clients throughout the claims process. This involves empathy, patience, and responsiveness to address customer inquiries and concerns effectively.
