Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives and risk tolerance. This involves identifying potential threats, vulnerabilities, and risks, as well as proposing mitigation measures and investments in security technologies.
Risk Management: Oversee the organization's risk management framework, including risk assessment, analysis, and mitigation strategies. This may involve conducting regular risk assessments, evaluating emerging threats, and ensuring appropriate risk mitigation measures are in place.
Policy Development and Compliance: Establish cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations (such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS) and internal security requirements. Monitor compliance efforts and implement corrective actions as needed.
Incident Response and Management: Develop and maintain an incident response plan to effectively respond to security incidents, breaches, or data breaches. This includes coordinating incident response activities, conducting post-incident analysis, and implementing lessons learned to improve incident response processes.
Security Awareness and Training: Promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness throughout the organization by providing training and awareness programs for employees. This involves educating employees about common security threats, best practices, and their roles and responsibilities in maintaining security.
Security Operations: Oversee the day-to-day security operations, including monitoring security systems, analyzing security events, and responding to alerts or incidents. This may involve managing security operations centers (SOCs) or outsourcing security operations to third-party providers.
Vendor and Third-Party Risk Management: Assess and manage the security risks associated with third-party vendors, suppliers, and partners. This includes evaluating the security posture of vendors, establishing security requirements in contracts, and monitoring vendor compliance with security standards.
Security Architecture and Design: Collaborate with IT teams to design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures, systems, and applications. This involves evaluating new technologies, conducting security reviews, and ensuring security controls are integrated into the design of IT systems.
Security Governance: Establish governance structures and processes to ensure effective oversight of cybersecurity initiatives. This includes defining roles and responsibilities, establishing security metrics and KPIs, and reporting on cybersecurity performance to senior management and board of directors.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously improve the organization's security posture. This involves participating in industry forums, attending conferences, and engaging with cybersecurity communities to share knowledge and best practices.

Bachelor's Degree in an IT related area.
Master's Degree in an IT related area (Desirable)
Professional Qualification (Minimum): ITIL + CISM/CISA

Five (5) years' experience in managing information assurance in a large financial institution or a reputable organization of which 3 years must have been at senior leadership position.
