Job Description
The Cashier will be responsible for accurately counting large volumes of cash, balancing deposits, reconciling records, and working closely with security personnel for the safe collection of money. The role involves daily banking tasks and completion of receipts, all while ensuring compliance with internal cash management procedures. The Cashier must be comfortable working under pressure and available for overtime and weekend shifts.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Count and verify deposits received from drivers.
Complete and issue receipts for all incoming funds.
Liaise with Fidelity Guards and Coin Security for cash collection.
Reconcile daily cash to receipt books and records.
Perform daily cash banking and ensure accurate recordkeeping.
Ensure deposits are accurately balanced and any discrepancies are reported.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education:
Grade 12 or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience as a cashier, preferably within the bakery or FMCG environment
Skills and Competencies:
Strong attention to detail
Ability to reconcile large cash volumes
Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
Ability to perform under pressure
Willingness to work overtime and weekend shifts
Strong organizational skills and a high level of integrity
