Job Description
The Cashier will play a key role in handling customer payments, issuing receipts, and balancing cash drawers. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, maintain a clean and organized cashier station, and support daily financial reconciliation processes. This position requires attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively with other restaurant staff.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Process customer transactions accurately using cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
Issue receipts, handle refunds and provide accurate change when needed.
Greet customers politely and respond to billing-related queries.
Keep the cashier station clean, organized, and in line with hygiene standards.
Conduct daily reconciliation of sales and report any discrepancies to management.
Work with restaurant staff and supervisors to resolve payment issues efficiently.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is an added advantage.
Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
Proficient in using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and organized.
A certificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is desirable.
