Job Description
As a Cash Officer at Optimus Bank Limited, you will ensure smooth cash operations by overseeing ATM loading and reconciliation, optimizing vault cash levels, and supervising cash sorting and tellering activities. You will maintain accurate records, ensure timely and error-free processing of customer transactions, and uphold service standards. The role also involves end-of-day reporting, preventing fraud, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing operational support to the Head of Cash Management and Branch Operations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Load and reconcile ATM machines.
Optimize vault cash levels to meet branch needs.
Supervise and coordinate cash sorting activities.
Maintain accurate records and registers for cash activities.
Oversee all tellering functions and ensure adherence to cash handling procedures.
Ensure prompt and efficient service delivery in the customer service unit.
Achieve targeted Turn Around Time (TAT) in line with service level agreements.
Ensure timely, accurate, and error-free transaction processing.
Execute end-of-day procedures and reports promptly.
Maintain zero tolerance for fraud and regulatory infractions.
Act as backup to the Head of Cash Management and Branch Operations.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in banking, specifically in cash management.
Competencies:
Strong attention to detail.
Good leadership and supervisory skills.
High level of integrity and ethical standards.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service orientation.
Time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Sound knowledge of banking operations and regulatory standards.
