Job Description
The Business Development Officer will be responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of customers, ensuring they receive exceptional financial solutions tailored to their needs. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, promoting loan and investment products, and acting as a liaison between clients and the institution. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, self-confident, and customer-focused, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Sell the company’s loan and investment products
Conduct follow-ups and maintain consistent contact with prospective and existing clients
Provide accurate financial advice and recommend value-added services to customers
Manage a customer portfolio by addressing inquiries, complaints, and service needs
Liaise with the Credit Risk Department to monitor and support customer loan activities
Promote and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Resolve complex queries and complaints effectively and efficiently
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education & Experience:
Relevant bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field
Prior experience in sales, marketing, or financial services is an added advantage
Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and listening skills
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Good writing and presentation skills
Ability to take initiative and work independently
Customer-oriented mindset
Confidence, curiosity, and accountability
