Job Description

The Business Development Officer will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, maintaining and growing client relationships, and promoting the company’s services to key decision-makers. The successful candidate will handle prospecting, customer management, lead follow-up, and market research to enhance the company’s reach and service delivery. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, sales expertise, and a good understanding of the expatriation market.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities

  • Schedule client meetings and manage customer appointments effectively

  • Maintain and supervise a structured client database

  • Stay informed about industry trends and prospective client needs

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients

  • Develop strategies for client retention and service promotion

  • Prospect new clients through calls, emails, and networking events

  • Respond to client queries and complaints promptly and professionally

  • Follow up on leads generated by other departments

  • Monitor and collect client feedback to improve satisfaction

  • Prepare and deliver pitches and client presentations

  • Handle submission and follow-up of applications in various administrative bodies

  • Monitor competitor activities and assess market opportunities

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field

  • Proven experience in sales with a consistent track record of meeting sales quotas

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented, focused, and methodical

  • Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration abilities

  • Knowledge of the expatriation market is an added advantage

  • Self-driven and results-oriented

  • Excellent customer service and client engagement skills

  • Fluency in English (French is a plus)
