Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) Limited is a limited liability company solely owned by the Government of Uganda (GOU). It was established under Section 42 of the Petroleum (Exploration, Development, and Production) Act and Section 7 of the Petroleum (Refining, Conversion, Transmission and Midstream Storage) Act, both of 2013. It was incorporated under the Companies Act of 2012 as a limited liability company on June 12th, 2015.

The Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) Limited was established under the Petroleum (Exploration, Development and Production) Act and the Petroleum (Refining, Conversion, Transmission and Midstream storage) Act, both of 2013 and incorporated under the Companies' Act, 2012. It is a limited liability company wholly owned by the Government of Uganda. The overall function of UNOC is to handle the State's commercial interests in the Oil and Gas industry and ensure that the resource is exploited in a sustainable manner.

UNOC now invites applications from persons interested to develop their career with a dynamic and results-oriented Company to occupy the following position

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to assess industry trends, competitive dynamics, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities for growth.

  • Opportunity Identification: Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, partnerships, and investment prospects through market research, industry analysis, and customer insights.

  • Strategic Planning: Support the development of business strategies and initiatives to drive growth, increase market share, and achieve strategic objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement action plans.

  • Financial Modeling: Develop financial models, forecasts, and business cases to assess the financial viability and potential returns of new business ventures, product launches, and strategic initiatives.

  • Business Development Support: Assist in the identification, evaluation, and negotiation of business partnerships, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and other growth opportunities.

  • Sales Support: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop sales strategies, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities to drive revenue growth and customer acquisition.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for collaboration and business expansion.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), sales metrics, and market trends to evaluate the effectiveness of business strategies and initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare reports, presentations, and executive summaries to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress updates to senior management and key stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry developments, best practices, and emerging trends in business development, market analysis, and strategic planning. Seek opportunities for continuous learning and professional development.

  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial concepts and metrics, including revenue, profitability, margins, return on investment (ROI), and cost-benefit analysis.

  • Market Research: Proficiency in conducting market research and competitive analysis to assess market size, growth potential, customer needs, and competitor strategies.

  • Business Strategy: Knowledge of business strategy development and implementation processes, including market segmentation, target market identification, positioning, and pricing strategies.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings, recommendations, and business cases to internal stakeholders and senior management.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, build relationships with clients and partners, and influence decision-making.

  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with business intelligence tools, data analytics software, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems to gather, analyze, and manage data effectively.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and creatively, identify emerging trends and opportunities, and develop innovative solutions to drive business growth and competitive advantage.

  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
