Job Description
The successful candidate will oversee brand activation, brand positioning, and marketing alignment across the bank’s departments. The Brand Marketing Manager will provide leadership in the execution of brand campaigns, content consistency, visual communication, and go-to-market plans. They will work closely with both internal teams and external agencies to ensure campaigns meet performance expectations and are within budget. Additionally, the job holder will play a critical role in growing the bank’s brand presence through strategic partnerships and continuous optimization of digital platforms, including the corporate website.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and execute brand strategy and brand activation plans.
Align bank-wide marketing plans with the brand strategy using customer insights.
Manage and monitor brand assets and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Provide direction for design, web, signage, packaging, and other visual communications.
Deliver media briefs and manage communication channels per campaign.
Analyze campaign ROI and track performance post-execution.
Develop go-to-market (GTM) plans for thematic and nationwide marketing initiatives.
Maintain brand consistency in all customer touchpoints including physical branding elements.
Manage agency relationships and ensure efficient task execution across campaigns.
Monitor marketing budgets and maintain cost efficiency.
Strengthen brand equity through strategic partnerships and collaborations.
Maintain and enhance the corporate website and digital touchpoints.
Provide leadership and make decisions concerning staffing, team development, and compensation within the brand unit.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Professional qualifications such as CIM, MSK, or relevant marketing certifications preferred.
Membership in professional bodies like the Chartered Institute of Marketing or Marketing Society of Kenya.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years total experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Competencies and Skills:
Strong decision-making capabilities and high levels of integrity.
Ability to interpret and execute long-term strategic plans.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and formal communication skills.
Business and financial acumen.
Experience in brand development, campaign management, and vendor coordination.
Strong analytical and planning skills.
Proficiency in managing visual identity and marketing asset consistency.
