Job Description
The Billings Auditor will be responsible for auditing and verifying all billing-related processes and documentation to ensure compliance with company procedures and healthcare industry standards. This includes managing end-of-case billing, processing invoices, auditing patient files, and analyzing billing trends to identify and rectify discrepancies. The role requires a commitment to patient advocacy, operational efficiency, and consistent quality improvement in line with contractual agreements with medical schemes.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct billing audits according to Clinix standards, policies, and procedures
Promote patient advocacy and adhere to patient care standards
Analyze billing reports to identify negative trends and propose corrective actions
Ensure products and services are billed in accordance with company and medical scheme agreements
Execute End of Case billing on the approved system
Maintain accuracy of supplier invoices and patient billing documentation
Manage billing processes for private patients, including final billing and forwarding files to the collections department
Audit patient files for accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations
Analyze reports to detect trends, discrepancies, and inconsistencies to support data-driven decision making

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Diploma in Nursing
Experience and Skills Required:
2–3 years of experience in a healthcare billings environment
Advanced computer literacy
Experience with SAP (advantageous)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
