Assistant Relationship Managers - Personal Banking job at KCB Bank

Highly motivated individuals to manage healthy banking portfolios and be reliable points of contact for new and existing personal bank customers. (Fort Portal and Mbarara)

  • Client Relationship Management: Assist in managing and maintaining relationships with existing clients. Act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries, requests, and issues. Build rapport with clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities for additional products or services.

  • New Client Onboarding: Support the onboarding process for new clients by gathering required documentation, coordinating with internal departments to set up accounts, and facilitating introductions to key stakeholders.

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and review client financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess creditworthiness and identify potential risks.

  • Credit and Risk Management: Assist in evaluating credit proposals and preparing credit applications for approval. Monitor credit exposure and portfolio performance to ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures.

  • Product and Service Recommendations: Collaborate with Relationship Managers to identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell additional products and services to clients based on their financial needs and objectives.

  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all client documentation, agreements, and contracts are accurately completed, executed, and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Communication and Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination between internal departments, such as credit, operations, and legal, to address client needs and resolve issues in a timely manner.

  • Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities. Conduct research and analysis to support client discussions and identify potential business opportunities.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, summarizing client activity, portfolio performance, and key performance indicators. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Complaint Resolution: Handle client complaints and escalations, working closely with internal stakeholders to address issues and ensure timely resolution.

  • Training and Development: Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices related to client relationship management. Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to Relationship Managers, such as scheduling meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, and maintaining client records and databases.

  • Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service to clients by promptly responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and proactively addressing their needs.

  • Business Development: Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, such as referrals from existing clients or networking with potential clients in the market.

  • Bachelor's degree or post graduate degree in a finance or business-related field.

  • Business-related qualifications are an added advantage.

  • A Master's degree is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in retail sales.

  • Understanding of KCB banking products policies and procedures

  • Credit knowledge and understanding.

  • Understanding risk management principles, credit scoring principles and procedures.

  • Possession of fine underwriting skills and a good understanding of personal credit processes.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills Good understanding of competitors and their products and services.

  • Great people management skills..
