Job Description
The Assistant Records Officer at Ibanda District Service Commission is responsible for managing and maintaining the records of the district in accordance with the relevant laws and policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Records Officer at Ibanda District Service Commission is responsible for managing and maintaining the records of the district in accordance with the relevant laws and policies. Some of the duties include:
Receiving, sorting, filing and retrieving records from various sources and departments.
Ensuring the security, confidentiality and integrity of the records.
Updating and maintaining the records management system and database.
Preparing and submitting periodic reports on the status and performance of the records management function.
Providing guidance and support to other staff on records management issues and best practices.
Liaising with external stakeholders such as auditors, researchers and government agencies on records access and disclosure requests.
