Assistant Engineering Officers (Electrical) provide technical support and assistance in the field of electrical engineering, helping to design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment

  • Assisting in Electrical Design: Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, circuits, and components for various projects, including power distribution systems, lighting systems, control panels, and electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

  • Installation and Construction Oversight: Assist in overseeing the installation, construction, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment, coordinating with contractors, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure proper installation, safety, and quality assurance.

  • Maintenance and Repair: Assist in conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure, diagnosing faults, replacing defective components, and performing routine inspections to ensure reliability and functionality.

  • Testing and Inspection: Assist in conducting tests, inspections, and evaluations of electrical systems and equipment, including voltage testing, continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, and ground fault testing, to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain technical documentation, drawings, schematics, and records related to electrical systems, installations, maintenance activities, and equipment inventory, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC), as well as company safety policies and procedures, by implementing proper safety protocols, practices, and training for personnel working with electrical systems.

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to engineering teams, project managers, and other stakeholders on electrical engineering matters, answering inquiries, resolving issues, and offering recommendations for improvement or optimization.

  • Procurement and Material Management: Assist in the procurement of electrical materials, components, and equipment, including preparing specifications, obtaining quotes, reviewing bids, and overseeing the delivery and inventory management of materials.
