About the Organisation
EMERGENCY opened the Children’s Surgical Hospital in Entebbe to provide free paediatric surgical care in Uganda, one of the youngest countries in the world: more than half the population is under 15. Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Engineering Officer (Biomedical)
Organisation: Children’s Surgical Hospital
Duty Station: Entebbe, Uganda
The Assistant Engineering Officer (Biomedical) maintains and repairs biomedical equipment at the hospital, ensuring functionality and safety for patient care.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide routine maintenance, repair, and calibration of hospital and medical equipment.
Update and maintain the medical equipment inventory.
Participate in conducting training of equipment users.
Participate in training technicians and artisans in medical equipment repair and maintenance.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
University or institution in Biomedical Engineering.
Other Requirements:
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Competencies:

Attention to detail and safety compliance.
