Job Description
Analyzing financial performance metrics, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to optimize financial processes and outcomes
Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
Recording financial transactions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Reconciling bank statements and ensuring accuracy in financial data.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Processing invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely manner.
Monitoring accounts receivable and following up on overdue payments from customers.
Liaising with vendors, suppliers, and clients regarding billing and payment inquiries.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assisting in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Compiling financial data and preparing reports for budget variance analysis.
Providing support to management in budgetary control and cost management activities.
Financial Analysis:
Conducting financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Analyzing financial performance metrics, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to optimize financial processes and outcomes.
Tax Compliance:
Assisting in the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, VAT, and payroll taxes.
Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
Responding to tax queries and providing information to tax authorities as required.

Qualifications and Competencies
Education:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is typically required.
Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) may be preferred or beneficial.
Experience:
Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably as an accounting assistant or in a similar position.
Familiarity with accounting principles, practices, and standards.
Experience with accounting software and financial systems.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Knowledge of accounting software packages such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
Understanding of financial analysis techniques and reporting tools.
Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and analysis.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
Ability to explain financial concepts and information clearly and concisely.
