Job Description
Participate in an Apprenticeship Programme in order to maximise individual and organisational development, through the execution of predefined apprenticeship objectives.
The Absa Uganda Apprenticeship Programme aims to tackle youth unemployment of graduates by facilitating a smooth transition from work based training to employment at the very start of their career journey.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assisting customers with their banking needs, such as opening accounts, applying for loans, transferring funds, and resolving queries.
Supporting the branch team with daily tasks, such as cash handling, filing, reporting, and administration.
Participating in sales and marketing activities, such as promoting products and services, generating leads, and cross-selling opportunities.
Following the policies and procedures of Absa Group Limited, as well as the regulatory and ethical standards of the banking industry.
Completing the assigned learning modules and assessments, as well as attending workshops and webinars.
Demonstrating a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to excellence.

Eligibility
Ugandan Citizens
Graduated 2021 onwards
Minimum CGPA of 3.6
A Credit in Mathematics and English at O Level
Employment Term
One-year contract renewable to two years
Apprentices are eligible to apply for roles once successfully completed six months as assessed to meet the requirements of the Bank.
Education
Higher Certificates and Advanced National (Vocational) Certificates: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
