Job Description
We are seeking an AI Consultant with experience in the retail sector to collaborate on the development of cutting-edge AI and tech-related courses for frontline workers in the retail industry. This is a short-term contractual role, where your expertise will help shape a high-level Point of View (POV) for key learning objectives.
We are open to candidates who have served as AI instructors with experience working with retail clients, in addition to AI Consultant within retail companies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Expert Guidance: Offer your AI expertise to shape the curriculum and content strategy for retail-focused AI and tech-related courses.
Industry Insights: Share in-depth knowledge of how AI is transforming the retail landscape, including applications in supply chain, customer service, and sales.
Collaborative Content Creation: Work closely with Simplilearn’s content and learning teams to ensure courses are practical, relevant, and impactful for frontline retail workers.
Target Audience Analysis and Objective Setting: Conduct research and analysis to define the course's target audience and learning objectives.
Content Design and TOC Creation: Assist in the creation of the table of contents (TOC) and provide detailed input on topics, tools, and hands-on elements for the course.
Design Document Creation: Help in crafting the design document, including case studies, use cases, and project-based learning to make the course more relatable to retail industry challenges.
Course Structure and Content Review: Review raw content, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices. This includes reviewing Word and PowerPoint formats.
Demo and Project Document Review: Validate demo and project documents along with solutions to ensure accuracy and practical application for retail scenarios.
High-Level POV Development: Help develop a strategic perspective on how AI can enhance the retail workforce, guiding the course creation process.
Course Design Feedback: Offer feedback on course structure, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
Retail Experience Integration: Assist in translating complex AI concepts into easily understandable modules for frontline workers in retail.
Short-Term Commitment: This role requires up to 20 hours of commitment over a 2-month period to help guide the direction of the course.
Ongoing Collaboration: As the courses evolve, there is potential for expanded involvement, including future projects and ongoing roles in course development.
Stay Updated: Ensure that the POV reflects the latest trends, tools, and innovations in retail AI technology.
Thought Leadership: Contribute as a thought leader in AI for retail, sharing potential case studies and real-world examples.
Flexible Contract: Work on a part-time basis with the potential for future collaborations as the course evolves.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Requirements:
Seeking candidates with proven experience in AI/ML within the retail industry. AI instructors with exposure to retail clients are also encouraged to apply.
A strong understanding of AI trends and technologies, such as machine learning, automation, and data analytics in retail, is essential.
The ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences is highly valued.
Experience working with frontline retail employees is a plus.
U.S.-based candidates only.
Compensation and Duration:
We are seeking someone to contribute 5-7 hours per week on a project for a period of 2 months, with the potential for this to be the beginning of a long-term partnership with Simplilearn, leading to more project opportunities in the future. The pay range for this role is $100-$200/hr.
