Job Description
The Accounts Payables Officer will be responsible for handling all outgoing financial transactions for the hotel, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with both internal policies and regulatory frameworks. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining vendor relationships, processing invoices and payments, and supporting monthly and annual financial operations. The officer will also ensure the hotel’s compliance with tax obligations and assist with financial reconciliations and reporting.

How to Apply
Receive, verify, and process vendor invoices
Prepare and execute payments as per agreed terms
Reconcile accounts payable ledgers with vendor and bank statements
Ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory regulations, especially taxation
Prepare accounts payable reports including aging summaries and payment forecasts
Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors and other stakeholders
Assist in month-end closing by preparing relevant journal entries and reconciliations
Ensure timely remittance of taxes, levies, licenses, and other statutory payments
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized institution
CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent certification required
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance/accounts within the hospitality industry
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
Working knowledge of SUN System and Micros Material Control (MC) is highly desirable
Strong understanding of Kenyan tax regulations
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
