Job Description
As an Account Manager at Son Newspaper, you will identify and secure new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing client relationships. You will design and sell advertising campaigns across print, web, mobile, and email platforms. Responsibilities include conducting client needs analyses, presenting tailored advertising solutions, coordinating with internal teams for campaign delivery, and achieving or exceeding set sales targets. Staying informed about industry trends and offering clients the latest advertising innovations will be key to your success.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Present and sell advertising solutions tailored to client needs
Conduct cost-benefit analyses and create impactful campaigns
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
Proactively seek new business opportunities
Meet and exceed assigned sales targets
Resolve client concerns swiftly and professionally
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth campaign execution
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advise clients accordingly
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in online advertising sales
Senior Certificate (Matric); a tertiary qualification in Marketing is advantageous
Knowledge of web analytics tools and experience working with advertising agencies is preferred
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines
Creativity combined with a strategic approach to campaign management
Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
