What we are looking for The Access Centres Support Coordinator is responsible for providing Coordination, Representation and Administrative support at NRC centres that offer protection & ICLA services and thus off-load the Area Manager on the day-to-day monitoring of operations.
These include Access centres in Kabusu & Nsambya, ICLA centres and Protection outreach desks that support Kampala Urban programming. What you will do
Work jointly with the Innovation and digital coordinator to establish an on-line booking system for the PWS and provide oversight management to its functionality.
Oversee the day-to-day operations at the access centres and enhance structured access of PWS to the different services providers and information packs.
Jointly work with the CC leads, review/update SOPs for managing the centers and ensure appropriate dissemination to the teams operating from the centres.
Work closely with the CC Coordinators and IM TA to create information packages (e.g. brochures) and document case studies/interest stories that profile good practices at the Centres.
Develop good network and ensure close cooperation with the local administration at all levels, UN agencies, other national and international agencies/organizations, local communities, and target groups.
Organize monthly meetings for all partners working from the centres and represent NRC’s interests in any relevant fora/meetings with other partners to ensure that NRC is well positioned pertaining to centers’ operations.
Report to the Area Manager emerging issues pertaining to the centres management and any violations of NRC’s Personnel policies and Code of Conduct to ensure timely redress and risk aversion.
Keep track of the administrative and logistics needs of the access centres and ensure these are addressed in a timely manner by the Log/admin team at AO.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the security services providers, closely monitor potential security/safety risks and ensure that these are flagged up to HSSO and AM in a timely manner for appropriate action.
Provide monthly/weekly updates to the Area Manager on the operations at the services centres, capturing the statistics of PWS accessing services, lessons learnt and challenges to information improvements in programming.
Coordination of partner relationships and representation of NRC in on-site meetings with the UN, partners and authorities.
Promote the rights of refugees and asylum seekers in line with NRC advocacy strategy.
Monitor and evaluate the local security situation and provide security updates to the HSS Coordinator as need arises.

Experience from working in support functions in a humanitarian/recovery context.
Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal
Context/ Specific skills, knowledge, and experience:
Holder of a bachelor's degree or equivalence in a relevant field
Postgraduate or master's Qualification in Public Administration, Business Administration or relevant field will be added Advantage.
At least 3 years of experience working as a Project or Support Manager in a humanitarian /recovery.
Documented results in supporting smooth Project Implementation from start to closure.
Previous experience from working in complex refugee or internally displaced context required.
Experience with key humanitarian/Development donors' rules and regulations- ECHO, EU, UN- UNICEF, UNHCR, etc.….
Demonstrated previous experience in supporting programs implementation teams on various/ multiple donor projects.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal
Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
Knowledge of the context in Uganda in particular Urban programming
