Job Title: Restaurant / Highway Stopover Manager

We are now seeking an ambitious, proactive, and strategic Restaurant / Highway Stopover Manager to lead our team and elevate our guest experience.
Your Role:
As the Restaurant / Highway Stopover Manager, you will be at the heart of our day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth service, energizing the team, and creating a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back. You will lead with clarity, care, and commercial sense.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of restaurant and stopover operations, including customer service, staff performance, inventory, and hygiene standards.
Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a diverse team to deliver excellence at every touchpoint.
Maintain a clean, safe, and vibrant atmosphere that reflects Monar’s community-centred values.
Collaborate closely with the Chef and kitchen team to ensure quality, consistency, and timely food service.
Track and analyse sales, develop growth strategies, and execute promotional initiatives.
Foster customer relationships, resolve issues promptly, and constantly seek feedback for improvement.
Coordinate with suppliers and manage budgets efficiently.
Represent the resort with professionalism and local cultural alignment.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
A go-getter with strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and hands-on in problem solving.
Passionate about hospitality and committed to building a high-performing team.
Customer-focused with a drive for operational excellence.
A creative thinker who is always looking for better ways to serve and delight.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage customer-facing operations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience working in high-traffic restaurants or highway stopovers is preferred.
Willingness to relocate to Ntungamo District.
Proficiency in Runyakole or Rukiga is a strong advantage (preferred for cultural alignment and
guest engagement).
